a new partnership for dancing with parkinson's. Danielle Teale Dance and DanceWest.

I am delighted to be expanding the work and and reach of my research with people with Parkinson’s alongside partner organisation DanceWest, to bring high quality dance opportunities for people with Parkinson’s, their loved ones, companions, friends and carers in a supportive and sociable community environment.

People come here and feel safe... the dancing is physical but it also gives us a chance to speak, to have conversation, which is an added bonus of connection with others

In the heart of the North Kensington community the Tabernacle (W11) will play host this summer, to a series of taster Dancing with Parkinson’s sessions from May to July, to introduce dancers to this exciting programme!

All Danielle Teale Dance, Dancing with Parkinson’s classes are delivered to live music. Dancing with Parkinson’s encourages a feeling of freedom and joy in movement, expression, laughter, social connection and a sense of contribution to the dance community. Totally inclusive, bringing about a feeling of grace, control and mobility, enabling greater physical and emotional awareness.

DanceWest. and Danielle Teale Dance are committed to working in partnership to bring creative and artistic opportunities for people with Parkinson's together. The future ambitions of the programme include performance projects, a research project led by Danielle Teale and the opportunity to connect with the wider dance.

For the couple of hours a week when I do a dancing class, it’s the closest I come to not having Parkinson’s
